Monuts Donuts

You may have heard of it, but if not, shame on you. You have deprived your taste buds of morning-glory at one of the best destinations in the Triangle.

Monuts -land of homemade donuts carefully displayed on individual pedestals and actually served on silver platters. Favors like PB and Jelly, Blueberry Matcha, Apple Cider and Honey bunches of Chocolate sit loud and proud in the front of the kitchen inside the quant and trendy restaurant.

But visitors don’t stop there. No donuts are just a sweet side note to the mouth-watering breakfast sandwiches that rotate on a new menu each day.

You can imagine how great our day started when we treated ourselves to a heavy helping of Monuts.

We each chose a breakfast sandwich that went as follows: a buttery biscuit with eggs, avocado, tomato, lettuce, sausage and white cheddar cheese. Oh and a side of honey.

But because we drove 25 minutes to this blissful destination, we couldn’t resist splitting a tray of three unique and scrumptious donuts.

We chose three of today’s beloved flavors: double chocolate crumble (basically a chocolate cake), strawberry lavender (sweet and flowery, my favorite of the day), and honey bunches of chocolate (so fluffy and sprinkled with fresh granola).

This, along with so many other trendy, young and vibrant places have been on my bucket list for a long time and I am proud to conquor this delight today.

Monuts is quite the place to celebrate sunny weekends, trendy eats, and young metabolisms.
